Finance Ministry Plans to Revive Halted Construction Projects

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Finance says it intends to effectively utilize stalled construction projects for national development.

It noted that the matter will be addressed during ongoing discussions to prepare next year’s budget proposals. 

Many large-scale projects, launched in the past but left incomplete, have cost the government crores of rupees and become a significant burden.

Proposals will be sought from relevant ministries on the potential use of these buildings and projects.

After a thorough review, the Ministry plans to complete the abandoned constructions and put them to productive use.
