COLOMBO (News 1st): Consumer Affairs Authority seizes stock of locally assembled gas stoves

A stock of gas stoves imported as parts, assembled locally, and prepared for sale has been discovered in Grandpass of Colombo.

The discovery was made during a raid conducted by the Consumer Affairs Authority, which also found another stock of goods intended for the same purpose.

The Authority said checks are underway to determine whether the products meet required standards, and further investigations are ongoing.
