Five Injured in Borella Shooting Linked to Drug Traffickers in Dubai

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police say the shooting in Sahaspura, Borella was the result of a long-standing dispute between two drug traffickers currently hiding in Dubai.

Five individuals were injured in the incident, which occurred last night when two suspects on a motorcycle opened fire at a group of people gathered at a stadium.

According to Police Media Spokesperson ASP F.U. Wootler, the assailants used a T56 assault rifle and fired approximately 20 rounds before fleeing the scene.

The injured victims are currently receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
