86 Hand Grenades, Ammunition, and Drugs Found in Vavuniya

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two suspects have been arrested with 728 T-56 ammunition in the Neriyakulam area of Vavuniya.

The arrests were made as part of ongoing investigations into the recent recovery of buried explosives and ammunition in the Settikulam area.

Earlier, authorities recovered 86 hand grenades, 321 T-56 live ammunition, and 5,600 narcotic capsules from the site.

With the latest arrests, the total number of suspects taken into custody in connection with the case has risen to six.
