Islandwide Raids Against Organized Crime Continue, says Minister Ananda Wijepala

COLOMBO (News 1st): Minister of Public Security, Ananda Wijepala, has announced that islandwide search operations targeting organized criminals are being carried out continuously.

According to the Minister, these operations are being conducted in coordination with the Tri-Forces, Sri Lanka Police, and the Special Task Force.

As part of these operations, a house-to-house search was conducted last night in the Kirulapone Police Division, with the participation of both Kirulapone Police officers and members of the armed forces.

In addition, police confirmed that a special vehicle inspection operation was also carried out in the area.

The Ministry of Public Security further stated that similar special search operations are expected to be conducted across the country in the coming days, and public cooperation is being sought to ensure the success of these efforts.
