Two more carcasses of turtles wash up

Colombo (News 1st): The carcasses of two turtles were washed up on the Sarakkuwa beach in Negombo yesterday afternoon

Accordingly, the number of turtle carcasses piled up on the western coast in a few days rose to 17.

The Wildlife Department said, dead turtles were reported to be washed ashore from Wellawatta up to Galle face and along the coast of Negombo.

The post-mortem examinations of 8 dead turtles had been carried out by yesterday.

The reports are to be submitted to the court
