Uni. Economic Heads' to submit report on bankruptcy next week

Heads of the Department of Economics of all universities have been instructed to compile a report on institutes and individuals who must bear responsibility for Sri Lanka’s bankruptcy, and those who who can testify on the matter.

This was during a meeting of the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Sri Lanka’s bankruptcy.

Chairman of the committee SLPP MP Sagara Kariyawasam has also instructed the university staff to compile a report on the future course of actions that can be taken to refrain from such a situation reoccurring.

The reports must be submitted next week.
