Two new secretaries appointed by President

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka's President has appointed two new secretaries for key ministries.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed MMPK Mayadunne as the Secretary to the Ministry of Transport & Highways. He was the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils & Local Government .

Neel Bandara Hapuhinne who served as the Secretary to the Ministry of Women Child Affairs & Social Empowerment was appointed to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils & Local Government.

The President's Media Division said that the appointments will be in effect from the 1st of January 2023.
