Rainfall for North & East of Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology says that few showers will occur in Northern and Eastern provinces.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Sabaragamuwa province and Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.

Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere in the country.

The Misty condition can be expected in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Condition of Rain:

Showers may occur at a few places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Galle to Matara via Hambanthota during the evening or night.

Winds:

Winds will be north-easterly or variable in direction and speed will be (20-30) kmph. 

State of Sea:

The sea areas around the island will be slight.
