New rooftop solar tariffs by next week: Minister

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Energy Kanchana Wijesekara says that he met with the members of the committee appointed to revise tariff rates on rooftop solar.

Accordingly, the Minister said that the committee members have held meetings with its stakeholders, and plans are underway to introduce the new tariffs by next week. 

The Minister added that the committee members will consider the economic factors, least cost generation and the financial capability of CEB in revising tariffs.
