COLOMBO (News 1st); Colombo Commercial Fertilizers Ltd said that the Urea shipment bound to Sri Lanka will be further delayed.
A Senior Office said the shipment was expected on the 6th of July, however, another vessel with fertilizer will be reaching Sri Lanka soon.
The shipment of fertilizer that is reaching Sri Lanka contains 40,000 MT of Urea.
Colombo Commercial Fertilizers Ltd said the fertilizer shipment was imported via the Indian Credit Line, and the quality will be tested by three separate parties.
The National Fertilizer secretariat noted, that upon the arrival of the shipment, Sri Lanka Standard Institute and several other entities will test the samples are take measures to distribute the stocks across the country within a week.
