COLOMBO (News 1st); Australian Minister for Home Affairs and Cyber Security, Clare O’Neil arrived in Sri Lanka on an official visit.
According to the Australian High Commission, she is expected to meet with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Foreign Affairs Minister, Prof. G. L. Peiris.
“This shows our strong and enduring bilateral relations as we celebrate our 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations,” the High Commission said.
Minister O’Neil will discuss how Australia can deepen cooperation and assist Sri Lanka to face the economic times, as well as strengthening engagement on transnational crime, including people smuggling.
