COLOMBO (News 1st); Paddy harvesting for the Yala Season is underway, at a time when Sri Lanka is likely to face a crisis in food.

The Irrigation Department said that the harvesting process will commence from the Ampara District, followed by the other districts.

The harvesting for the Yala season will continue until next September 2022.
