Concealed laugfs gas seized from A'pura

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Consumer Affairs Authority said it seized 560 domestic laugfs gas cylinders, and 50 industrial-sized gas cylinders from a dealership located in Anuradhapura, on the charge of concealing stocks.

Those present at the premises said that they were forced to park the truck with laugfs gas cylinder as the storage facility was full, however, the CAA authorities demanded that the stocks be distributed among the Laugfs Gas agents in Anuradhapura, who were waiting for stocks to be sold to consumers.

Sri Lanka Police arrived at the location thereafter to ensure the smooth sale of gas cylinders to the consumers.

The distributor said the stocks were moved to a separate facility for distribution.
