Sri Lankan Delegation To Visit U.S. For Tariff Talks

COLOMBO (News 1st): A delegation from Sri Lanka is scheduled to travel to the United States to hold discussions on further tariff reductions.

Chairman of Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB), Mangala Wijesinghe, stated that the delegation will leave the country before August 1st.

The group includes members of the expert committee appointed to explore the possibility of securing U.S. tariff concessions for Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, PresidentAnura Kumara Dissanayake stated that discussions will continue regarding additional tax concessions from the United States.
