Troops ready for Agri Revolution : Army Chief

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's new Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage said that military is prepared for an Agricultural Revolution.

During a visit to Kandy, Lt. General Liyanage said the Sri Lanka Army had looked into all the state lands that have been abandoned and those lands will be used for cultivations by the troops.

He said the Mahanayake Thero's also requested for troops to be more involved in the cultivation process, given the situation in the country.
