Inquiry over Laugfs price hike

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Trade, Commerce, and Food Security said that steps have been taken to inquire from Laugfs Gas regarding the increase in gas prices.

Minister Nalin Fernando said that the Consumer Affairs Authority has been informed to inquire from Laugfs Gas on what basis had they decided to increase the prices.

The Minister further said that steps will be taken to impose a controlled price on certain essential items within the next week.
