COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said the government has planned on ensuring that three-wheeler drivers are not inconvenienced when distributing the fuel.
The Prime Minister met with the All Island Three-Wheeler Drivers and Owner's Association on Thursday (2) and they had requested options of electric three-wheelers and charging stations powered by solar power.
Ranil Wickremesinghe had instructed the relevant Ministry Secretary to study this proposal and revert with a report.
In addition, the Prime Minister had also agreed to establish a Three-Wheeler Regulatory Authority as well.
The Prime Minister had also thanked the Petrol Shed Owners Association for their hard work in the face of fuel shortages.
