Public support sought to detect looters

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police have requested the support of public in further identifying the rioters who caused property damage on 9th and 10th May, in addition to identifying mobs who attacked the peaceful protestors at GotaGoGama and those who caused an unrest around Temple Trees on the same day.

Police states that videos and images of looters who took objects from properties have also been circulating on social media, and requests the public to inform if they have any information regarding such, to be informed via the hotlines 1997 and 119.
