SLPP & Independent MPs to meet on Interim Govt

COLOMBO (News 1st); A meeting will be held on Monday (2) at 11 AM at Temple Trees under the auspices of President Gotabaya Rajapska between the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and the Independent Members of Parliament regarding the Interim Government.

General Secretary of the SLPP Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam said that the proposal made by the Independent Parliamentary Group on an interim Government would be discussed at this meeting.

The Party Chairman, Minister G.L Peiris, former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa, Sanjeewa Edirimanne, and Party General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam are scheduled to represent the SLPP.

Parliamentarian Mahinda Amaraweera stated that Nimal Siripala de Silva, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, and Tiran Alles are scheduled to represent the Independent MPs.
