Blood Bank receives much-needed blood bags

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Health said that Sri Lanka has received a stock of blood bags that were in short supply at the National Blood Transfusion Center.

Director-General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena stated that the Blood Transfusion Center needs about 8,000 bags per week.

Another stockpile of blood transfusion bags is due by the second week of May, he added.
