Showery condition to enhance: Met Department

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Meteorological Department states that thundershowers will be expected in many parts of the island for three days from tomorrow (08) due to the turbulent nature of the lower atmosphere in the Eastern part of the island.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in many parts of the island.

The Meteorological Department states that there will be showers of more than 100 mm in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva and North Central Provinces and in some places in the Ampara and Kurunegala Districts tonight.

Heavy showers of up to 100 mm are expected in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in some places in the Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts tomorrow as well.
