(PICTURES) Security tightened around Parliament as protestors close in

COLOMBO (News 1st); Security was tightened on the road leading to Parliament on Wednesday (6) as a group of Sri Lankan youth once again started protesting against the government.

Protests are taking place across the nation demanding the President and the Prime Minister step down for their failure to manage the economy.

Protests have increased in numbers across many towns and cities in Sri Lanka, with many stepping out onto the streets against the rising cost of living and the shortage of many essentials.
