COLOMBO (News 1st); The Cabinet of Ministers have granted approval to import 1.8 million barrels of petrol for a period of 08 months from the United Arab Emirates, from February 15th onwards.

The Department of Government Information stated that bids have been invited from registered suppliers and provisional registered suppliers for awarding the long-term contract for imports.

Accordingly, Cabinet approval has been granted to award the Long Term Contract to ‘M / S OQ Trading Limited’, a company vased in United Arab Emirates on the recommendation of the Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet.
