Two arrested in Gonahena with heroin & Rs. 7.8Mn

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two suspects were arrested after two raids were conducted by the Police Special Task Force in Kotahena according to a tip off received by the Gonahena Police. 

The two suspects, aged 57 and 34, were interrogated following the raid, and further investigations revealed that the suspects were in possession of 106 grams of heroin, in addition to Rs. 7,823,000 in cash.

Moreover, it was revealed that the two suspects were connected to an India-based drug operation and were involved in the distribution of drugs in Sri Lanka.

The Police Narcotics Division is conducting further investigations into the incident.
