Three nabbed for fake PCRs, remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two suspects arrested in connection with preparing fake PCR test reports for those who are going overseas have been remanded till March 9th.

The suspects were produced before the Fort Magistrate's Court on 22nd February after being nabbed by the CID. 

The first suspect arrested in connection with the incident has been remanded till tomorrow (23), Police said.

The suspects were arrested in Wellampitiya, Minuwangoda and Kalutara areas, and have been identified as those who are aged 32, 33 and 28 years.

The three suspects have issued the fake PCR test reports in the name of a private hospital, and further investigations into the incident are being carried out by CID.
