Two persons dead after being electrocuted, one dead due to drowning

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police says that two people have died after being electrocuted in a paddy field in the Batalanda area in Pelmadulla. Police stated that two persons, aged 28 and 38, were killed in the incident. The two deceased have been identified as residents of Batalanda, Pelmadulla. Meanwhile, another unidentified person had drowned in a well in Nawalapitiya on Friday (11). Nawalapitiya Police is conducting further inquiries into the incident while the postmortem of the deceased is due to be held on Saturday (12).
