Chinese Foreign Minister due to arrive in SL

COLOMBO (News 1st); State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi is scheduled to pay a two day official visit to Sri Lanka on Saturday  (08).

The visit of the Foreign Minister is scheduled to take place on Saturday (08) and Sunday (09), the Ministry of External Affairs said.

The 65th anniversary of Sino-Sri Lankan diplomatic relations will be commemorated at the same time.

It was reported that the visit will be a courtesy call of the Chinese Foreign Minister to inquire into a range of private sector investments across the island which falls under many of his visits around the world where Chinese interests are concerned.
