Protesting over matters will not bring a solution: State Min Thenuka

COLOMBO (News 1st); protesting over matters will not bring about a solution, says State Minister Thenuka Vidanagamage.

Speaking to media on Saturday (01), the State Minister emphasized that the Government will prioritize the country's economy in 2022.

Stating that the Government needs to admit that the cost of goods is high in the country, the State Minister reasoned that the cost of goods has increased due to the current global situation.

Moreover, the State Minister said that the Government will identify 2022 as the year which the President will be successful in implementing his plan.

"Under the Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa's plan, we will give priority to that this year. There are certain issues, and we don't deny that. But protesting over those matters won't bring solutions. We are taking steps to implement a plan that will help to provide solutions to these issues, " he added.
