Bring new meaning to world in face of COVID-19: PM

COLOMBO (News 1st); Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa says that he entrusts the people with the task of bringing new meaning to the broken world in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as interpreting Christmas with good wishes of hope.

Issuing a message for that Christmas, the Prime Minister said that Jesus Christ sacrificed his entire life to liberate the oppressed people of the society and to create a better society in the world.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa added that the life of every Christian would be enlightened by properly recognizing that philosophy and shaping their lives according to the life of Jesus Christ with spiritual purity.
