NPP ready to lead and rebuild Sri Lanka - Anura Kumara

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's economy is heading towards a disastrous situation, warned Leader of the National People's Power, Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Monday (20) at the Party's Convention titled 'A promise of recovery for a shattered nation'.

"There is a shortage of goods, forcing the prices to increase, while shipments of essential goods are also stuck in port," he said.

Dissanayake said the burning question among all is whether Sri Lanka can meet is debt obligation given the current economic crisis.

He said the National People's Power is ready to take over and lead the country to direct its rebuilding efforts for the betterment of the people.
