COLOMBO (News 1st); Anuda Bandara, the son of former State Minister Shantha Bandara, has been remanded until July 27 in connection with an investigation into the alleged robbery of Rs. 20 million from a Chinese national.
Bandara was arrested on Tuesday over his alleged involvement in the incident.
Following his arrest, he was produced before court, which granted permission for investigators to detain and question him until today as part of ongoing inquiries into the alleged robbery.
Upon being presented before the court again, the suspect was ordered to be remanded until July 27 pending further investigations.
