Newly appointed Northwestern Province Governor assumes duties

COLOMBO (News 1st); Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda who was appointed as the Governor of the North Western Province assumed duties on Friday (17).

The inauguration ceremony of the new Governor was held at the North Western Province Governor's Office.

Karannagoda served as the Commander of the Navy from 2005-2009 and later served as Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Japan.
