Milk powder companies in crisis due to inability to import

COLOMBO (News 1st); State Minister of Consumer Affairs Lasantha Alagiyawanna says that some milk powder companies have encountered problems in importing milk powder due to the foreign exchange crisis.

Speaking to News 1st, he said that immediate steps would be taken to address the issue.

The State Minister further said that steps will be taken to give priority to increase local dairy production.
