Imported fertilizer not distributed in Polonnaruwa: Kins Nelson

COLOMBO (News 1st); SJB MP Kins Nelson alleged that the fertilizer which was imported from India has not been distributed anywhere in Polonnaruwa area.

Speaking at a media briefing held in Polonnaruwa on Sunday (12), the MP demanded the Government as to whom the imported fertilizer had been distributed to.

Speaking further, MP Nelson also stated that the Government is distributing substandard fertilizer made out of expired fish as nano nitrogen fertilizer, and mentioned that this fertilizer has more adverse effects than the gas explosions.

The Government has clearly misled the farmers, he added.
