Five arrested with over 53kg of explosives

COLOMBO (News 1st); Five suspects have been arrested by Police in Ariyadasagama, Padaviya, for transporting explosives in a van without the relevant permits issued for explosives. According to Police, 53 kilograms of Ammonia nitrate, 320 detonators and 178 Gelatinate sticks were seized from the suspects' possession. The suspects have been identified as residents of Medawachchiya between 29 to 46-years, and are due to be produced before the Kebithigollewa Magistrate's Court today (27).
