Vaccination card essential to visit tourist hotspots: SLTDA

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) has informed the public and tourists to always carry the COVID-19 vaccination card when visiting tourist locations around the country.

Director-General of the Tourism Development Authority, Dhammika Wijesinghe said proof of full vaccination is essential to visit tourist hotspots adding that measures are underway to inspect the vaccination card at such locations.

Whilst pointing out that following the easing of inter-provincial restrictions, locals are also traveling to many tourist hotspots, the Director-General advised the people to only travel if one is fully vaccinated.

She also noted that the Health Ministry has instructed the tourist sector to ensure that only those who are fully vaccinated gather in crowds at tourist hotspots.
