COLOMBO (News 1st); 225 Chief Inspectors in Sri Lanka Police have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendents of Police.
This is the first time in seven years that a large number of police officers are promoted to the rank of ASP.
Police Spokesperson & Attorney-at-Law SP Nihal Thalduwa speaking to News 1st said the promotion would pave the way for a more efficient service.
These officers will be deployed to all divisions in Sri Lanka in the near future.
The promotions would also pave the way for promotions of other lower ranks in Sri Lanka Police.
