COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have arrested the suspect who shot dead a tusker inside the Yala National Park.

The suspect was identified as a 21-year-old male from Kataragama known as ‘Kalu Appu’, and he was arrested while hiding inside the Yala National Park.

The suspect had shot dead the tusker inside the park and they cut off the tusks as well.

Sri Lanka Police said the tusks were also recovered.
