COLOMBO (News 1st): President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is scheduled to address the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly at 09:30 p.m. (local time) today (22). The summit kicked off in New York yesterday (21), chaired by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is scheduled to address the Food Systems Conference tomorrow (23) and the high level dialogue on energy on September 24th. The theme of this year's UN General Assembly is to develop resilience through the hope of a cure for the COVID-19 virus, to rebuild sustainability, respond to the needs of the planet, respect human rights, and to revive the United Nations.
