Police continue to arrest Quarantine Curfew violators

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police said that 773 persons were arrested for violating curfew regulations within the last 24 hours. Accordingly, 124 vehicles were also seized within the last 24 hours from 06:00 a.m. yesterday (13) until 06:00 a.m. today (14). The total number of persons arrested for violating quarantine regulations so far is 71,467. Moreover, 1,342 persons and 814 vehicles exiting the Western Province and 1,160 persons and 775 vehicles entering the Western Province were also observed by the Police. Police added that 310 persons and 178 vehicles were also refused permission to pass through Provincial limits due to not having the relevant curfew passes.
