Number of COVID-19 deaths expected to decrease in future: DDGHS

COLOMBO (News 1st): The number of COVID-19 deaths is expected to decrease in the future, the Deputy Director General of Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath says. The Deputy Director General of Health services said the majority of those who died due to COVID-19 were persons who have not obtained their vaccine. However, Dr. Hemantha Herath further stated that a general reduction in the number of deaths is expected as most persons have obtained both vaccines.
