COLOMBO (News 1st): Four suspects, including three women, have been arrested for visiting the vaccination center at Sangamitta Vidyalaya in Galle and leaving with only their cards marked without being obtaining the vaccine. The Police said that health personnel who saw the suspects leaving with their cards marked had informed the Police about the incident. The suspects have been identified as a 47-year-old man from Ettiligoda, Galle, two sisters aged 48 and 43 from Kongaha Road and a 41-year-old woman from Thanipolgaha. Investigations have revealed that the two sisters visited the vaccination center previously, claiming that they have obtained the first dose, and had left with the cards. Police said that the suspects' father had also taken a card to mark that he had been vaccinated. The suspects are due to be produced in court under Section 267 of the Sri Lanka Penal Code on charges of reckless acts that could spread diseases, Police added.
