COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka's health authorities warned on Tuesday (Sept. 7) that those who have not been vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, are at high risk of complications after being infected with the virus. Those who have not been vaccinated and infected with the virus could suffer various complications for close to three months following recovery, Dr. Ranjith Batuwanthudawa, the Director of the Health Promotion Bureau (HPB) pointed out. "Such patients should attend the clinic sessions as instructed by the hospital where they received treatment, rest well at home, and remain vigilant regarding the health condition. It is also important to engage in minor activities to determine the condition of the respiratory system with regard to any signs of breathlessness," Dr. Ranjith Batuwanthudawa advised.
