Early Release for Good Behavior in Prison

COLOMBO (News 1st); 24 prisoners who were slapped lengthy prison sentences are to be released on a permit system for good behavior during their incarceration.

Prisons Commissioner and Spokesperson Chandana Ekanayake told News 1st said this is part of a rehabilitation program to convert convicts into good citizens.

On the 17th of September, 09 prisoners will be released.
