216 COVID-19 deaths confirmed for Sunday (29) & Total fatalities at 8,991

COLOMBO (News 1st); 216 COVID-19 deaths were confirmed for Sunday (29), said the Director General of Health Services on Monday (30). Accordingly, the total number of fatalities in the island increased to 8,991.
