Couple Shot Dead Inside Car in Akuregoda

COLOMBO (News 1st); A couple inside a car was n killed in a shooting incident in the Thalangama - Akurugoda area.

Police Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police F. U. Wootler, stated that the shooting was carried out by two individuals who arrived in a motor vehicle at around 5 p.m. today.

He further confirmed that the gunmen had used a T-56 assault rifle during the attack.

The victims were a couple seated inside a car that had been parked in the parking area of a private supermarket in Akurugoda when the shooting occurred.
