COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said driver who provide false information upon entering the expressways to cross provincial borders will be strictly dealt with, in accordance to the law.

Speaking to News 1st, Police Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said only personnel attached to essential services can cross the border and they are required to provide necessary documentation at the check points.

In addition, all by-roads between provinces are also manned by Police Officers, he added.
