Special Traffic Plan surrounding new Kelani Bridge, during the weekend

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police announced that a new traffic plan will be in place from 05:00 AM on Saturday (14) to 05:00 AM on Monday (16) surrounding the new Kelani Bridge.

The section of the Baseline Road that leads to Colombo from the Kelanitissa Roundabout to the Orugodawatte Junction will remain closed during the said period for carpeting purposes.

However, the section of the Baseline Road that leads out of Colombo from, the Orugodawatte Junction to the Kelanitissa Roundabout will remain open.

In order to avoid traffic congestion, Sri Lanka Police requested motorists to use alternative routes.

Motorists are advised to enter the Ingurukage Junction via the Kelanitissa Roundabout to proceed towards Pettah, Armour Street, Panchikawatte, Maradana, Borella via Sirimavo Bandaranaike Mawatha, and Armour Barber Junction.

Motorists can travel to Dematagoda via the Baseline Road from Pradeepa Mawatha and Saddharma Mawatha.
