'Konda Ranjith' Moved By Police For Futher Inquiry

COLOMBO (News 1st); An alleged organized crime figure, Ranjith Kumara, also known as "Konda Ranjith", who was arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport following his deportation to Sri Lanka, has been handed over to the Western Province North Crimes Division for further investigations.

The suspect, known as Konda Ranjith, was arrested this morning at Bandaranaike International Airport by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Police allege that he operated as a key associate of organized crime figure Ganemulla Sanjeewa and is accused of involvement in assaults, intimidation, and several shooting incidents targeting residential properties.

Police further stated that Konda Ranjith had previously been arrested on 12 separate occasions in connection with various criminal incidents.
